The Heritage Foundation’s Center for Media & Public Policy took a significant step today in its seven-year existence. A newly reconstituted advisory board met in Washington, D.C., to plot the course ahead in the changing media landscape.
I left work today more inspired and excited than I’ve been in a long time. I heard so many great ideas and met such wonderful people that I’m not sure where to begin. Although I’ve been at the Heritage Foundation for less than a month, I can already tell that working with this advisory board will be one of the highlights of my job.
Today’s meeting consisted of a morning planning session and several guest speakers, including columnist Robert Novak, bloggers-turned-congressional-staffers Jon Henke and Tim Chapman, Jeanne Cummings, chief lobbying and money correspondent for The Politico, and finally, Bill Beach, director of the Center for Data Analysis at Heritage.
Over the next several months, stay tuned for some exciting initiatives that we’ll be rolling out.
