Conservative Media Stick With Coulter

Posted by: Rob Bluey In: Conservatism| Media

A number of high-profile conservative bloggers declared war on Ann Coulter in the wake of her controversial CPAC speech, but that hasn’t stopped conservative media organizations from continuing with business as usual.

Coulter’s syndicated column, which is released about 6 p.m. on Wednesdays, was printed tonight on three prominent conservative websites: Townhall, Human Events and WorldNetDaily. Collectively, the three sites reach millions of readers.

Is there a disconnect between bloggers and these conservative mega-sites? Just as the American Conservative Union brushed aside suggestions that Coulter not be invited to CPAC in the future, I’d expect these media organizations to dismiss demands they dump Coulter as a columnist. The reason? Coulter is a huge draw and a moneymaker, giving her the upper hand even when she’s under attack.
