Rep. John Campbell (R.-Calif.), a certified public accountant, launched his new blog on Townhall today. It’s appropriately called Green Eye Shade, named for the “headwear of choice for accountants in the late 19th and early 20th centuries,” Campbell explains.

Campbell has been a leading crusader for fiscal responsibility in Congress since taking office in 2005. He currently serves as the chairman of the budget and spending task force for the Republican Study Committee.

Campbell is also recognized among his peers as a rising star. In the above photo, former RSC Chairman Mike Pence (R.-Ind.) told bloggers back in February that members such as Campbell will keep conservatives relevant in Congress.

Congratulations to Campbell for recognizing the power the blogosphere and embracing it.
