Bush Skips Opening Day

Shame on President Bush for declining the invitation to throw out the first pitch today at RFK Stadium in Washington. Not only is he missing an opportunity to connect with ordinary Americans, but he’s also doing a disservice to baseball. As the Washington Post reports today, Bush’s decision to skip Opening Day the past two years could be the beginning of the end for the presidential first pitch.
