		<description>I note that Brookes didn&#039;t bother to criticize the three GOP Congressmen (Wolf, Pitts, Aderholt) who went to Syria just a few days before Pelosi; they, too, met with Assad, held press conferences and (in today&#039;s AP wire) have directly  and publicly contradicted the President on the question of engagement with Syria.

If you want to suggest that Congressional trips of this sort are a bad idea, that&#039;s all well and good; singling out Pelosi while conveniently ignoring identical (and, in some cases, worse) behavior from GOP Congressmen is hypocritical.</description>
