I’ll have to find something else to watch when I get to work in the morning. The uproar over Don Imus’ “nappy-headed hos” comment has resulted in a two-week suspension from MSNBC, which simulcasts his radio program each morning.
UPDATE — April 10, 10:13 a.m.: There are several updates since I posted last night. The most significant is CBS Radio’s decision to suspend Imus for two weeks as well. This morning the I-man was on the “Today” and took a grilling from Matt Lauer. And in less than an hour, the Rutgers women’s basketball team will hold a press conference to denounce Imus.
UPDATE — 3:14 p.m.: Ken Shepherd has a great post at NewsBusters examining the “finer points of street grammar.” Apparently, journalists are having trouble deciding whether to use “ho’s, hoes, or hos” when writing about the Imus story.
