Red Fridays: An Old Idea That Just Penetrated the Beltway

I was talking to my parents last night about Southwest Airlines’ embrace of the Red Fridays idea to support the troops when I learned this isn’t anything new. My mom, who works at a school, has been wearing red, white and blue on Fridays since 9/11, and my dad said he’s been getting e-mail forwards since the beginning of the Iraq War about Red Fridays.
