Why Rudy Giuliani Won Tonight’s Debate

Posted by: Rob Bluey In: Politics

I’ve read the early reviews and while there doesn’t seem to be any consensus, I firmly believe Rudy Giuliani will emerge the winner tonight. He was the only candidate to stand up to Rep. Ron Paul’s despicable comment blaming 9/11 on America’s foreign policy. Giuliani showed presidential form by jumping in and slapping down Paul. By the time Giuliani was finished articulating his point, he had other candidates and the entire crowd cheering him on.

If Giuliani goes on to capture the nomination, his response to Ron Paul will be one of the moments that is replayed years from now. It was so powerful that I found myself cheering him in front of the TV.

Giuliani also did everyone a favor by exposing Paul as someone who doesn’t belong in this field and should be booted from future debates. It’s time for Republicans to stop giving this libertarian a platform.

I’ve noticed so much hatred coming from ‘conservative’ blogs, news sites, tv anchors (Sean INsannity) directed towards Ron Paul. Last time I checked, they are the ones vilifying Democrats as hateful (and they are), but perhaps they should remove the speck from their own eyes before doing so.

Ron Paul is the only constitutionalist running (from both parties), he is the most conservative and his message of liberty and freedom is resonating across grassroots America. It shows a lot about what the Republican party has become if the Republican establishment (and the blind sheep who follow them, willing to slit their own throats at the first request of Sean Hannity or George Bush) are vilifying Ron Paul as they are.

I would like to see Rudy Giuliani take up Ron Paul’s suggestion of a debate on foreign policy.

I hope you don’t think I’m showing hatred toward Ron Paul. I’m just saying that I don’t think he belongs in the debate.

It got my attention and I got really concerned about the answer Ron Paul gave . . Then when Rudy got on his case about the answer he was right . .

What Ron Paul said was a historically verifiable fact and was expressed by the 9/11 Commission in their final report. The concept of blowback is not at all controversial and should not be ignored by either Republicans or Democrats. Doing so is irresponsible and creates unnecessary problems for us to deal with in the future.

Just saw two helicopters flying over Thurmont, MD. I wonder if the Obamas are visiting Camp David?
