The White House won’t like me after reading this week’s column on Townhall. I take issue with the argument advanced by Karl Rove and others that Republicans should pass immigration reform for the the political advantages it could serve with Hispanic voters. Former Bush speechwriter Michael Gerson made the ill-advised case for Rove in the Washington Post on Friday. I point out why it’s the wrong approach.
