Immigration Bill Won’t Fix for Border Security

My colleague James Jay Carafano has a new paper out analyzing the border security aspects of Senate’s immigration bill. His conclusion: “The Senate’s immigration reform proposal would not improve border security and could actually worsen the problem of illegal immigration.”

Meanwhile, Heritage’s James Sherk and Bill Beach condemn the intrusive workplace enforcement measures in the bill. This is a good follow-up paper to one from last week about the bureaucratic nightmare created by the bill for worksite enforcement.
