I’m at the Nationals game with Missy watching my beloved Pirates. It’s the top of the fourth and the Nats are up by a run. It’s almost time for an ice cream break. To my Dad watching at home, look for us in section 516 behind the plate.
UPDATE — 10:48 p.m.: As usually happens when I take Missy to a game, we left early and the Pirates staged a comeback. Only this time the Bucs’ bullpen blew it. The Nats won, 6-5, on a wild pitch by struggling reliever Solomon Torres, who has already pitched his way out of the closer’s job and could soon be pitching himself out of a spot on the roster.
