I mentioned yesterday that I was heading out to Leesburg, Va., about an hour away, for a party at my friend Ben Domenech’s house. I didn’t know who would be there, so when I arrived to find fellow RedState contributors Pejman Yousefzadeh and Victoria Coates (otherwise known as Academic Elephant), I was pleasantly surprised. It’s nice to spend time with the people I so often communicate with via e-mail. Both were in from out of town, so I considered this a real treat. The party was great — a Texas-themed shindig — and Ben’s place is just remarkable.
