Stuck at LaGuardia

I now know why I don’t fly to New York. The US Airways Shuttle is awful. I was delayed on my way out and I’m stuck at the airport now. My 7 p.m. departure was pushed back to 9 p.m. Fortunately, I was able to hang out with my buddy David All. Robert Leger of the Arizona Republic is also with us.

The delay was supposedly caused by rain, but Missy tells me there are clear skies in Washington and despite a quick shower earlier in New York, it’s a beautiful night here. Maybe not as picturesque as the above photo, but certainly similar. At least I learned my lesson. Next time I’ll take the train.

UPDATE — 11:49 p.m.: We finally arrived at Reagan National Airport around 10:30 p.m. I was lucky to get a seat on the 6 p.m. shuttle (so many people had given up on the flight), but then it got stuck on the runway at LaGuardia. I’m not sure when the 7 p.m. shuttle was going to leave, but I’m grateful to be home.
