‘These Democrats Are Unprepared to Run a Corner Store’

Eight Democrats took the stage in Charleston, S.C., tonight to debate the future of our great country. They came away looking clueless about foreign policy, dishonest about domestic policy and wholly unprepared to lead the United States. We can thank the 39 citizens whose questions were chosen for exposing those flaws.

Worst of all for the Democrats was that a Republican came away with the best line of the night. “It was never more apparent that all these Democrats are unprepared to run a corner store, never mind the largest entity in the world,” said Mitt Romney, the GOP presidential candidate who has launched an offensive against Democrats in recent days.

Earlier in the day I promoted David All and James Kotecki, but I’m sorry to say that they’ve haven’t updated their blogs lately, so instead I’d recommend checking out Marc Ambinder, Ryan Sager and Chris Cillizza for debate analysis.

UPDATE — 10:54 p.m.: Although I’ve already awarded Romney the quote of the night, I’d give the runner-up award the Club for Growth for its press release.

Will there be a country left for the Democrats to run by January ‘09?

Our DOJ is a joke.

The military is spread thin and in a perpetual war created by GWBush’s rush into a war of choice which had no bearing on terrorism.

The treasury is bankrupt.

High energy prices are crippling the lower income Americans.

U.S. healthcare has become nothing but a money making scheme for insurance companies.

FEMA is a boondoggle for the big GOP donators to feed off of.

Global Warming was treated like a sci-fi fantasy until like, yesterday.

Man, I hope we get a chance to vote for a new prez in November ‘08.

I’ll go out on a limb and say we’ll see more and more people ridiculing the GOP. It will be more than just Democratic strategists calling out the GOP for the failures of the last 6 years.
The picture of the GOP/NAACP Forum for the ‘08 GOP candidates is classic.

It’s both funny and sad. Has the GOP blacklisted the NAACP? One wonders how the GOP has any shot at getting Republicans elected. A party of *Gay hating*, *God Fearing*, *Gun toting* white boys has no hope of success in modern America. I thank the internet for helping the information flow. Pre-internet, GWBush would have waged the Iraq occupation for 10 years with hardly a negative voice to be heard. Now though, with the internet, the people have the power… the power of knowledge.
