Congress couldn’t get anything done on immigration reform, but that doesn’t mean the issue has gone away. The National Conference of State Legislatures reports that “no fewer than 1404 pieces of legislation related to immigrants and immigration had been introduced among the 50 state legislatures.” That’s just since January! And of those bill, 170 have became law in 41 states. Another 12 are pending approval.
