The problem is the troops aren't in their *own* country. Our troops are an occupation force. News Flash, the mission is a failure! The occupation of Iraq creates new terrorists. We have a perpetual war. People dislike being ruled by foreigners. Basic common sense seems lost on the GOP-Republicans who keep our young in Iraq. The very idea that America will create a new Iraq through occupation is crazy. This crazy idea has led to the deaths of 3,773 American troops and counting. This war, this occupation has been going on for four and one half years and there is no end in sight. *No end in sight*, this is the reality of O.I.F. I hope the 160,000 U.S. troops in Iraq know that most Americans want this war over NOW. They are not abandoned by the American citizentry. Most of us realize the killing won't end until American troops leave Iraq. A shout out to General Petraeus. See you back the States in the summer of '08 so you can again be GWBush's mouthpiece and extend the occupation of Iraq until the next U.S. president is sworn in. It really burns me up to see a discount like this by the NYT on such a disgusting ad. Plus, the General's response shows his class, unlike most Dims who can only think of themselves and not our men and women in uniform.
