I am unable to detect the lie you claim for Ms. Pelosi.
And, after watching the highly edited clip of Cantor/Emmanuel I fail to see how Emmanuel was 'left speechless'. How about providing an UNEDITED clip of the debate so we can decide for ourselves?
This is about priorities. How is it that so-called 'right to life' republicans can argue against healthcare, while asserting the need to continue to fund the failed war in Iraq?
Who has a right to life? From the Republican perspective, white wealthy Americans come first!

The democratic leadership has no interest in the health of poor children unless they can serve as bait to promote this sly attempt to advance the cause of socialized medicine and advance their bid to win in 2008. The confirmation is their rejection of Bush's offer to negotiate.

Paul Krugman has a great column today about this, and the "f-- you" mentality of the GOP. If you're sick, if you're poor, if you're hit by a hurricane; the GOP not only says "f-- you" - even to our country's children! Not only that, they're so craven they make jokes about it! Yeah, it's hysterical that there are 3.8 million children with no health coverage, while Bush asks for another $190 billion to piss away on a war that makes America LESS safe. Heckuva job, Bushie!

The other thing about this, and it's something none of our "punditry" every points out, is when Bush makes bizarre statements like "if that’s what you’re hearing on your TV screens". Why does this moron talk like he's 90 years old and TV, or "the internets", are some new fangled thing? Does he really think that by talking dumb, he can escape his blue-blood, elitist, child-of-priviledge upbringing? He's acts like he's from some rustic backround, and not the ivy league preppy schools of New England.
