J.C. Waszkiewicz, R.I.P.

The Utica Observer-Dispatch reports that New Hartford Town Councilman John C. Waszkiewicz III died Friday in Syracuse. I used to cover the New Hartford Town Council when I was a reporter for the now-defunct New Hartford News in college. Waszkiewicz was elected during some controversial times for the council, but he always seemed to manage to steer clear of the political bickering. Please keep his family and friends in your prayers.
