There Is a Football God

Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning and Giants Coach Tom Coughlin, originally uploaded by Dominican Warrior.
All season long I rooted against the thugs and cheaters known as the New England Patriots. I was hardly alone. Following the scandal known as “Spygate,” America grew to hate the team that entered the Super Bowl with a perfect 18-0 record. Tonight those Patriots got what they deserved — a loss on the biggest stage to the New York Giants.
“Evil loses,” said my friend and fellow blogger Josh Trevino. There are few people who dislike the Patriots more than Josh. Like me, he has lost respect for Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and other classless members of the Patriots franchise for their actions on and off the field.
But after tonight, it seems there really is a football god. We witnessed the greatest Super Bowl ever and the biggest upset in NFL history. Congratulations to Eli Manning and the Giants. This is a victory to savor.

If Eli Manning can be Super Bowl MVP, even Ron Paul has a chance.
