This fellow Goeglein was the bag man between the White House and the Christian faith based groups that receive my tax money? Why does some of my tax dollars go to *religious* groups? Things that seem so wrong to me, seem okie dokie to most Americans. Perhaps I'm the one with the problem. Oh well, just 10 more months...

Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending Tim's actions -- far from it. I'm simply expressing my feelings for him and his family, who are bound to face some difficult days ahead.

Unlike both of you, I do be believe in forgiveness. Nobody's perfect, and even good men make mistakes.

Good people make mistakes. Bad people commit plagiarism -- repeatedly, over the course of many years.

And equally bad people think up lame excuses for them.

I am sure that Tim is a good guy and has done many good things.

But before we go too far down that road, lets remember the damage he has done to others with his dishonesty. If you look back into the history of the fabulist/plagiarist incidents, after the spotlight goes down, the newspaper and magazine editors who trusted the offender often face recriminations, damaged careers and even end up resigning as well. Those people have spouses and children as well. They are good people who've done good things too.

Newspaper opinion editors, like other kinds of journalists, also have a tendency to lean left. When conservatives betray the ones who will give us space on a regular basis, they make it even harder for conservatives to get the message out.
