The Polar Bear Protection Racket

After a two-month break, my weekly Townhall column returns today with a piece about the polar bear. More specifically, I question why Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne might cave to left-wing environmentalists by listing the bear under the Endangered Species Act. Such a move is unnecessary given the polar bear’s healthy population, and would open the door to lawsuits from environmentalists on any new attempts at energy production.
