Halfway through our trip to Upstate New York and Connecticut we made a special stop in Saratoga Springs for the 139th Travers Stakes, an annual family outing for the Blueys thanks to my Uncle Ted, who started the tradition years ago.
This year was wonderful — and made even more special because it fell on my birthday. Although I didn’t bet a penny, my cousin Adrian made up for it with a lucky streak that netted her some nice pocket change (she picked horses based on the color they were wearing).
My best photos are on Flickr. I used the occasion to get up close and personal with the family.
