Yes, we lost the election. But in a year when all currents were running against Republicans and our campaign was lackluster and erratic, Barack Obama received only 3.1 points more than Al Gore in 2000 and only 4.6 points more than John Kerry in 2004. The Democratic victory becomes durable only if Republicans make it so with the wrong moves.

I’m tired of hearing Karl Rove attempt to extend his career. It is high time for him to step aside from his self-appointed Superman of the GOP role.
The leftist illuminati pulled an election out this year partly because voters were tired, not necessarily of Bush, but of the Rove administration tactics of the past eight years.
Let’s get some fresh ideas circulating; Palin was right when she described Alaskan leadership as the “old boys’ club;” I think it exists in D.C., too.

Newsweek is still one of the top news rated titles in this online magazine subscriptions service and yet it seems to hem and haw about where it stands with regards to the elections. A recent issue featured an economist that is a hopeful for restoring some balance to the economy. not sure how this will fit into the Republican stance though as they respond to a new paradigm
