Tonight I posted on RedState a 16-year-old article from the New York Times published Nov. 5, 1992, which analyzes Bill Clinton’s victory over President George H.W. Bush. It’s scary that many of the same words could’ve been used today.
This reminds me of an old Newsweek cover I found in August while at my wife’s house. [...]

Obama 2008 Presidential Campaign, uploaded by Barack Obama.
President-elect Barack Obama has a profound opportunity to change the way business is done in Washington. Tonight’s victory speech was an important first step at reconciling his differences with Republicans and establishing a new approach to governing. But is he sincere? It’s a question that will be answered [...]

My friend Patrick Ruffini of The Next Right is the man to watch tonight. He’ll be calling states based on county returns — a tactic he used successfully in 2004 and one he believes will be the most accurate and fast way to watch the returns tonight.
I’ve added CNN’s election results widget to my sidebar, [...]

The team at New Media Strategies, working in conjunction with creative agency Jess3, put together this live Twitter analysis of the discussions taking place about the election. It is sponsored by Tropicana, hence the orange juice references.

Wondering what this means? My friend William Beutler explained it this way:

Fox News was on the scene at a precinct in Philadelphia earlier today after two menacing Black Panthers appeared to be threatening voters. There’s actual video of a guy brandishing a billy club on Election Journal, which is monitoring cases of voter intimidation and fraud across America. The city’s NBC affiliate has more info.

During an interview at halftime of Monday Night Football, ESPN’s Chris Berman asked John McCain what he wanted voters to think about when they went to the polls on Election Day. I love McCain’s sense of humor.

Thanks to my friend Chad for sending me this video of Barack Obama’s repeated tardiness at Senate hearings. This is downright embarrassing.

Alice Teeters and Sarah Palin, originally uploaded by Rob Bluey.
Flipping through yesterday’s New York Times, my uncle saw a familiar face. It was his cousin, Alice Teeters, in a photo with Sarah Palin. Alice is apparently a volunteer for the McCain-Palin campaign and attended an event in Coraopolis, Pa., where the picture was taken.
During a [...]

Red Arrow Diner, Manchester, NH 5/19/07, originally uploaded by Barack Obama.
This e-mail forward was sent to me this morning. Very rarely do I find these educational, this was a very clever demonstration of Barack Obama’s plan to “spread the wealth around.”
In a local restaurant my server had on a “Obama 08″ tie, again I laughed [...]

This video from CNN’s iReport of kindergarteners at New York Mills Elementary School (my alma mater) is absolutely brilliant. The kids are adorable. I wish someone recorded my thoughts on the presidential race when I was 5 years old.
